About the AWPC World Championships

The AWPC World Championships 2026 is being hosted by the British Powerlifting Union, WPC UK. We have hosted numerous World and European Championships with over 600 lifters in the past and we are looking forward to once again hosting the AWPC World Championships 2026.

The competition over 6 days will incorporate teams from all over the World and as always, will be a tribute to the AWPC and its commitment to powerlifting.

The AWPC has expanded rapidly over the last 5 years, and it is anticipated that the competition will be extremely stiff. The UK has the largest AWPC contingent in the World, not only with the UK, but travelling to international competitions. We are looking forward to teams from all the countries under the AWPC license coming to compete on our World stage and make this a true world level battle.

The Competition Venue – The Pendulum Conference Centre

The Pendulum Hotel and Conference Centre is a dedicated conference facility and hotel in the very centre of Manchester and has provides the stage for our 7 day British Championships with over 500 lifters, and has also been our chosen venue for WPC and AWPC World Championships and A/WPC European Championships since 2017. The venue and hotel is in the city centre, you do not need a car as everything is within walking distance. A professional and welcoming venue who understand the needs of our lifters and powerlifting competition requirements.

The Hotel and Preferential Group Booking Codes
